Our story
In the beginning of 2020, we brought years of public relations and tech experience together to accomplish one goal: to provide the first marketplace that intelligently pairs brands and media.

We have a passion for discovering and growing inventive brands. We’ve seen the power of good PR and know that it does not exist without the media getting timely, accurate information.

By leveraging technology, Luup affordably and quickly connects media to brands at scale. Brands get matched with journalists who are more likely to write about their product, and journalists spend less time sifting.

In effort to help small businesses, Luup unlocks a new marketing channel for the 70 percent of small businesses who need press but don't have the resources.


Meet Our Founder

Michelle Songy

Michelle is a two-time entrepreneur. Prior to Luup, she founded Cake Technologies, a mobile payment app that she sold to American Express in 2017 just three years after launch.

Michelle has a 10+ years experience developing, managing and marketing businesses from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies including American Express and Coca-Cola.

As co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at Cake, Michelle experienced first hand how difficult it was for a small business to access and afford quality PR. So she launched a PR firm catering to startups to secure earned media.

But that was not enough, there were still thousands of innovative brands to be discovered and stories to tell, so the idea for Luup was born…
